For this project you will need a 4mm hook or a size US 6 hook and forest green 10 ply / 4 or Medium worsted weight yarn, and a bit of another color green to make the chain.
Making the Leaves
Ch 15 and in the second chain from the hook, working in single top loop, sc 1, in the following sts do 1 HDC, 1 DC, 1 TC in the next 7 sts, 1 dc in the next 2 sts, 1 HDC and SC in last chain space.
Simple terms (SC 1, HDC 1, DC 1, TC 1 in next 7 sts, DC 1, DC 1,
HDC 1, SC 1)
Now you want to start working in the reverse side going back the other way, sc again in that last ch space and then working along the bottom on the previous sts, 1 HDC, 1 DC in next 2 sts, 1 TC in next 7 sts, 1 HDC in next st, sc in last st and sl st ch 1 and cut yarn.
Simple terms (SC 1, HDC 1, DC 1, DC 1, TC 1 in next 7 sts, DC 1,
HDC 1, SC 1)
Make 35 or 40 leaves, depending on how long you prefer.
To gauge how many leaves you wish to make, make 2 leaves and connect them by chaining 5 in between them like you would to
connect the necklace and measure how many inches or cm's are in between and this will give you an idea how many leaves you
need to make for your desired length.
To make the chain for the necklace, switch to a size 3.5 (E us or 9 uk) or 4mm hook (6 US)
sl st into the end st where you fastened off your yarn before, and ch 5, sl st the next leaf on and ch 5, keep doing this
until all 35 to 40 leaves are connected, fasten off yarn.
