For this project you will need a 5mm hook or US H hook and 10 ply or US 4 ply worsted weight yarn. And at least 2 skeins of yarn (100 gram skeins)
Ch = chain
DC = double crochet
YO = yarn over
st = stitch
FOR RIGHT HANDED VERSION
FOR LEFT HANDED VERSION
Both videos come with captions for many languages
YO and in 3rd st from hook go through and pull up a loop, YO and pull through 2 loops leaving 2 loops on your hook, YO and go through next st and pull up a loop, pull through only 2 loops, leaving 3 loops on your hook, YO and go in through next st and pull up a loop, go in through 2 loops, now you have 4 loops on your hook, now YO and go through all 4 loops, ch 2. Now repeat for rest of row.
ch 2 and now working in the large spaces, do the whole stitch there. Once you pull through all 4 loops and ch 2, you move and repeat in next open space as shown above. DC in last stitch of row. TURN your work
ch 2 and now repeat last row, except at the end of this row, you want to put a tear drop in the last stitch.
When your done you should see on one side of the scarf, you will have DC's
and the other side you will end with tear drops as shown below
Continue this pattern back and forth until it's as long as you like.
